Fantastic equalizer. One of the best out there. Instead of using OP amps to manipulate the sound these use oscillators and capacitors for the most pure sound possible. All the sliders were disassembled, cleaned and lubricated with deoxit slider lube. This one has been updated with all new capacitors including film capacitors where possible and nichicon muse bipolar capacitors in the larger sizes. This makes for one of the least intrusive equalizers you’ll find. Now the bad: the test lights don’t seem to follow the tone correctly. This all started after I replaced the capacitors. I believe they it has something to do with bipolar capacitors. This does not affect sound and you can mess with the levels to get the lights to follow the tone. The test lights are kind of a gimmick they are used to “center” the output levels but you’re going to use your ears for that anyway. The equalize input buttons (tape and line) springs are broken so you have to manual place them in the right spot to allow the signal through. This is not a big deal since once they are in the right spot they won’t move. “Picture a push button with no spring” These issues do not affect the performance however they mean you’ll get a great deal on an upgraded top of the line equalizer that not only has all of the knobs and sliders but also have the wooden case! I have disclosed all I can about this piece however I do not accept returns so please read and ask questions.

Hello, I have up for auction a Vintage Sound Craftsmen RP2212 Audio Frequency Equalizer in Cabinet Working made in LA, CA. Unit is very nice cosmetically and cabinet is good. It works and the sliders slide but need cleaned for smooth sliding (gummed up due to age) and missing the knobs. Shipping is a fixed $35 in the US due to size and weight with no reserve price so high bidder wins and you will be pleased.

This is a very nice equalizer in its original box with the original owners manual. I’m selling it totally as-is. It powers up and seems to work fine, but I’m listing it for parts or non-working because I know nothing about these things. Bid accordingly.
