Rotel RX-850A receiver in very good condition. 2 channels, 30 watts power. Connections for Phono, CD, AM/FM radio, Video and cassette deck. I never listened to the radio, so I never had an antenna (I purchased it without one), but had a turntable, cassette deck and CD player and all worked fine. I never hooked it to video player. The online version of the manual is still available from Rotel and other websites, but, thats what I used for hooking it up. Heavy little devil and has some serious components to weigh in at 14 pounds! At 18 long x 14 wide x 4.5 high, its a somewhat compact unit. I never had any issues with this great Rotel product, but ran into a nice Onkyo receiver at a price I couldnt pass up. So, even though I had no issues with the Rotel, somebody had to go and this is what is going. Will be packed well. I believe this could be the case of a faulty balance potentiometer where one or more of the legs or solder broke off the printed circuit board that it is mounted / soldered on. Im not 100% certain but I suspect it would be a MN250K. None of the capacitors appear to be swollen or leaking. Did not do any testing on anything such as the output transistors as that would require them out of circuit. Id tackle this but the entire chassis needs to be disassemble to get at it and I just dont have the time to do this now. Incidentally, I have a problem of collecting too many vintage electronics that often need to be nursed back to health. Anyway, I thoroughly cleaned with CRC electronic spray cleaner and applied a drop of Deoxit F100 to all the pots. Opening bid reflects what I paid for it for at a thrift store. As-Is
