Up for auction is a Rotel RD-2000 2 head stereo cassette deck. The deck is fully serviced and the following repairs have been done: - Cleaned the heads and pinch roller.- Lubricated the capstan and motor shaft.- Replaced the belts, adjusted the speed, W&F 0.055% to 0.065%. - Adjusted the playback/record head for correct azimuth.- Replaced the electrolytic and tantalum capacitors using United Chemicon and Nichicon FW caps in the power supply circuits, Elna Silmic II in the audio circuits.- Increased the value of the playback amp power supply filter caps from 220uF to 470 uF.- Cleaned the potentiometers and switches using deoxit D5. - Adjusted the electronics for correct levels using TDK SA tape. All the functions are operating as they should be, playback, record, ff, rew, pause, counter, headphones, dolby B, MPX, bias fine tune. The performance is excellent, the sound is warm, the bass is deep, the mid/highs crystal clear with wide stereo image in both modes (play/record). The deck is in very good condition, considering the age (see the pictures). This is a 120V model, S/N 02119. With the deck are included the old parts. All the questions are very welcome. I moved recently in US from Greece, where I was working in Greek Nakamichi service during 90s and I have all the professional equipment (original test tapes, oscilloscope, wow & flutter meter, distortion meter, frequency response meter, CR-7 test unit, 1000ZXL test unit).
