Rotel RB-870BX power amplifier, serial #155862 The unit was purchased new in 1991 and was an outstanding amp until it failed this year. It delivered 100 watts RMS per channel (300 watts bridged mono) of really clean sound; full specs are in the owners manual (included). I dont know what failed but suspect it was in the protection circuit. Otherwise, the amp appears to be in perfect condition, with no flaws or visible damage. It could be a great acquisition for someone who wants to try repairing it or wants it for parts.

The RC-870 Pre Amp has some quality parts - Nichon / Rubycon Black Gates, film caps, ALPS pots and offers four line-level inputs, tuner, cd, two tape loops with dubbing allowed in either direction, and a phono input (MC and MM). Its a fairly neutral preamp in my opinion. The RB-870 Power Amp is a 60 watts/channel stereo amp into 8 Ohms and that doubles the power in mono mode into 8 ohms. It can output to speakers in the 8-16 ohm range. to my ears it is modern sounding, fast and detailed. I took pictures with the covers off so you can see that all the components/ capacitors are in good condition. I will also include the Monster RCA cable I used as an interconnect and the manuals.
