Description
The legendary Roku M1001 streaming media player plays MP3, WMA, WMA lossless (converted to PCM), WAV, AIFF, LPCM, ALAC, FLAC, and Ogg-Vorbis formats. If you have high-quality content, this streaming client is an excellent choice. With 20-bit digital audio conversion (DAC), total harmonic distortion of -90db, a typical dynamic range of 90db, signal to noise ratio of 96db and a frequency response of < 20Hz to > 20kHz, the M1001 rivals the best, newest hardware in performance. Supported sample rates are at 8.0, 11.025, 12.0, 16.0, 22.05, 24, 32, 44.1, 48kHz. Supported bit depths are 8 and 16, mono or stereo. Supported protocols/software are Windows Media Connect, iTunes, UPnP, Rhapsody (via UPnP), MusicMatch (UPnP), and SlimServer. The Lyrion Music Server (community-maintained version of the Logitech Media Server), is currently in ver. 8.5.2, available for 32 and 64-bit Winodws, macOS, Debian/RedHat, ARM, Raspberry Pi, and Unix at Getting Started with LMS - Lyrion Music Server. NB: since Roku no longer maintains the M1001 time server, youll need to manually add any NIST service by browsing to the private IP address of the player (available on the device display) and adding the URL. You can Telnet to the device on port 4444. Firmware version is 3.0.44: essential to enable the M1001s full capability. The M1001 has impressive connectivity, offering optical and coaxial S/PDIF and a 3.5 mm analog stereo output jack. The 100BT Ethernet port may not work with 1,000BT switches. The Wi-Fi feature works fine though. Take your system to the next level with this exceptional and rare device at a fraction of what youd pay for new equipment.
