Heres a pair of the legendary Rogers LS5 loudspeakers. 8 ohms, 100W, +/-2.5db 65-18Khz. Walnut (I think) cabinets. Age unknown; the date code is written 13R4 on the small mfg QA label in the lower corner of the rear. Mfg is Swisstone Electronics, a business acquisition to continue the manufacture of the speaker line (history and nature of it is on the web) without altering design and quality. Cabinet dimensions: 18 x 8-3/16 x 8-13/16. Driver dimensions: 7-3/16 woofer; 4 tweeter and 1-3/4 port. One unit has a woofer defect. As seen in the photos the dust cap over the voice coil is missing. Also the cone (white-opaque portion) and the surround are no longer bonded by the adhesive. The other unit is good. I bought these 2nd hand years ago and tested the speakers prior to removing the grill and finding the adhesive problem. I used a decent quality power (Carvin) and pre amplifier (Phillips). Source was a CD. I listened at mid and high volume. I did not hear any cone rattling or distortion. Since the surround has not deteriorated and the cone is good you may be able to repair it. The cabinet finish is good overall. There are small scratches and discolorations as seen in the photos. Slight damage on one corner (photo). Another corner has a small bit of damage near it. As seen, unfortunately the former owner installed rubber bumpers on one side of each unit. One has 4 intact, the other has two. Some bumpers slipped aside what I assume is an adhesive pad. Theres no grill defects. This is a heavy shipment but will be well packed for a safe trip.

Legendre englische Lautsprecher von Rogers. Sie haben die selbe Bestckung wie die LS 3/5A und klingen wirklich sehr gut, man kann damit lange ohne Ermdung hren. Sie haben vor ein paar Jahren neue Schaumringe bekommen, sind optisch noch recht ordentlich in Schuss , natrlich sind ein paar Gebrauchsspuren nach den Jahren zu erkennen. Ich verkaufe sie, weil ich nun mit spendor und lowther hre. Dies ist ein Verkauf von privat, Garantie und Rcknahme sind ausgeschlossen. Bitte nur bieten, wenn sie damit einverstanden sind.

Rogers Speakers LS 4a/2: Pair But Only One Working. Bass/mid Range gone.

Lovely clean speakers. Very fine well looked after. I cant think there would be a more up together example. I cant see any marks other than on the base where some blu tak was put in the corner to help stick them to the stands as pictured. If you do see a sign of use then please respect that they are not brand new. Putting them in the used category covers me against anyone finding a mark and asking for money back. As with all used things, if you need a 100% guarantee that you wont find a single mark then you have the option to find some that have never been opened. I have been asked to show the insides of these speakers I can be able to make them £1495 if you collect them and pay old fashioned money on collection or if you wish to arrange your own courier and take responsibility yourself. Rogers LS4a hifi speakers pair, Vintage with wood finish. I bought them around 1991 but they have been in unused and in storage for over 20 years. I assume they still work.
