Rear cover from a Rogers valve pre-amp - possibly a Senior We have had this panel on a shelf for decades - I vaguely remember the preamp had a separate bronze top cover with curved corners and beige knobs with an octal connector to a separate poweramp block with similar wine red coloured base and grey painted HT/LT + output transformers. The amp had B9A valves with possibly an EL84 output, sorry........this is the best I can remember !! The condition is as seen in the photos - scratches/scrapes etc.. steel construction. Free UK post. Sadly in continually pops it’s HT fuse before it warms up.. also some of the resistor are our of spec (probably the issues), the caps measure ok. It needs a service, saldy we are snowed under, it will probaly not get around to this for some time, so this is a nice winter project for someone who has the time. there are a little bit of surface rust on the painted chassis parts , bit apart from that, you will not find a cleaner one externally Please inspect the pictures (please also use the zoom function on the photos) and be sure of what you are buying, please don’t buy this if you are at all unsure, I will answer any questions you have, just email BEFORE PURCHASING. One side works great, and sounds very nice without any noteable distortion, the other side just presents low level hum without any music. The issue could be in the pre or the power.. we have swapped the pairs around in the power and the pre and the issues is still on the same side. This is sold as seen, with no returns policy. Some age/use related marks, knocks and light corrotion. The facia is nice and clean and it would merit some time spent on it… No wooden case, and there is not a base on the power, so do not use unless a base is fitted for safety reasons. Lovely condition with full set of valves. All original and untested.Cosmetic: Really excellent condition, clean and rust-free and about as good as they get. The power amp is near-mint. The pre-amp/control unit has the usual tarnish on the face plate, and the three plastic switched to the bottom left on the front have broken off – the actual switch function is still fine, and this seems to be a common problem with these plastic switches. Technical: We have not tested the units, and please assume that they will need a service prior to use. Components appear good and original.
