This listing is for a RL Drake Model CC-1, Receive Converter Console with CPS-1 power Supply, SC-2 Two Meter Converter. It is in excellent physical condition and is one of the cleanest vintage radios I have seen in a very long time. There were two models of the CC-1 and this is the later version with RCA jacks on the rear for 2M INJ and 6m INJ. This matches the Drake 4 Line radio gear and is a pretty rare item as back in the 80s I had Drake equipment but never saw one of these before. .The way I understand it is the Drake CC-1 converter console accommodates the SC-2, 2 Meter Receive Converter, SC-6, 6 Meter Receive Converter, SCC-1 VHF Crystal Calibrator and CPS-1 Power Supply and there is room for a selectable third converter. Note that these items were originally sold separately (so some are not inside). The CC-1 is 10.75 wide x 6.25 high (w Feet) x 8 deep. Check out the photos as this is the unit you will be receiving. The front panel, side panels and paint are all in great shape. The copper chassis and the modules are very shiny which is hard to find in equipment of this age. There are no cigarette smells or burnt wiring smells . Manual copies are available on the web with a google search. The reason this equipment is being sold For Parts or Not Working is that I will not power up vintage radio gear without completely inspecting the equipment and components which can degrade from age. This equipment should only be purchased by someone with the knowledge of vintage radios in general and how to service and work on them. Shortwave shortwave receiver Radio AM Receiver - RL Drake - Model 1280 - PRN 1000. Powers on and all control features (step dim rcl etc) work. I couldn’t pick up any stations using a 4 foot speaker wire. Volume / on/off and tone knobs work as they should and turn smoothly. Tone difference when turned is subtle. Comes with the a Radio Shack power supply shown that came with it when i purchased it from original owner. Original power cord is missing. Sold as is due to lack off receiving stations.
