ReVox- B225 KR-Highend-Laboratory Mark II Red Level Der Player ist mit einer der hochwertigsten Lasereinheiten, die je hergestellt worden sind, ausgerüstet. Das mechanische Herz des B225 ist das Philips Radiallaufwerk CDM- 1 Das Metallchassis ist die solide Basis für den doppelt kugelgelagerten Dreharm des Lasers. Das Drehgestell des Lasers funktioniert wie ein Drehspulinstrument und kommt somit ohne zusätzlichen Antriebsmotor aus. Sein Laserstrahl wird mit einem 6- linsigen Objektiv von Rodenstock präzise focussiert. Kein Plastik, sondern vergütete, geschliffene Linsen aus optischem Glas übernehmen im CDM 1 die Bündelung des Laserstrahls. Das Laufwerk wird von uns gereinigt und geprüft es bleibt der unberührte Mittelpunkt der Modifikation. Im Laufe der Jahre haben viele elektrische Bauteile ihren ursprünglichen Wert verloren. Diese Bauteile müssen ersetzt werden, um den ursprünglichen Klang des Gerätes wieder herzustellen. Einige Bauteile können gegen modernere ersetzt werden. Im Mittelpunkt all unserer Bemühungen steht der Klang. In vielen Stunden des Hörens hat sich der augenblickliche modifikationstand des Players manifestiert. Das Netzteil wird aufgearbeitet, Siebelkos und Stützelkos wurden erneuert. Schnellere Dioden wurden eingebaut. Weiterehin wird die gesamte Netzteilplatte, die Servoplatte und die NF- Platte löttechnisch aufgearbeitet. Philips hat auch im Wandlerbereich nicht gespart, 2 Stück TDA1540D (hochwertige Keramikausführung) (je Kanal einer) wurden eingebaut. Genau so wurden die NF- Ausgangsstufen mit je einem Dual- OPamp, NE5532 ausgestattet. Dieser Verstärker war zu seiner Zeit wohl unschlagbar, was seine Klangqualitäten anging. In jedem Chip arbeiten 35 Transistoren für ein harmonisches Ausgangssignal. In diesem Bereich hat sich viel verändert, Leistung und Klang sind bei neueren Bauteilen um Klassen besser. Deshalb haben wir die Nf- Ausgangsstufe durch einen neuen OPamp mit nur 4 FET- Transistoren aufgewertet. Der verwendete OPA 2604 musiziert mit röhrenartigem Klang und doch präzise und feinzeichnend. Allein das Rauschmaß ist nur noch ein Bruchteil der Grundkonfiguration. Der Oversamplingbereich und die analogen Filter werden deaktiviert. In diesem Gerät ist zusätzlich eine TentLabs Masterclock verbaut. Sie sorgt für mehr Bühne und exakte Ortung der Instrumente. Alle Baugruppen wurden getestet, geprüft und nachgearbeitet. Der Erfolg unserer Mühen ist beachtlich. Die Wiedergabe überrascht durch enorme Räumlichkeit, Feinzeichnung und Dynamik. Der ReVox spielte vor der Modifizierung mit angezogener Handbremse.
