Once when I had CD inside it was able to read it, but was making mechanical noise when spinning. Because of these problems it is sold for parts or repair.The LCD display is very clear. The green lightbulbs have been replaced by a green filtered LED bar, Removing the front panel and removing the colour filter to get a different colour illumination is not hard to do. The green light in reality is not as powerful as the pictures suggest.All relevant electrolytic capacitors in the power supply and on the DA converter board have been upgraded. Also four new Opamps were fitted to improve the audio filter and output stages. See the last picture for details. The player works and sounds great. See also the video, use a browser to see the advert, the Ebay app on iPad does not show video. Volume control on the variable and headphone outputs, plus fixed outputs for optimal sound quality. Comes without optional remote control and advice is to cover the infrared window because this model has a known issue that it is not selective enough and will decode other infrared signals as random and unexpected commands.
