Revox A77 3.75 and 7.5 IPS Reel to reel with manuals and some basic modifications. I bought this some years ago as an analogue project which didnt really happen so its been sitting around for a while, All the functions work on the recorder. It records well to one channel and a bit distorted to the other, but it hasnt been aligned or serviced and I couldnt vouch for the wear on the heads etc, so Im selling it as a spares or repairs for someone who has the knowhow and time to get it going properly. I modified the plugs for Aux In and Channel out to XLRs for ease of use , but thats it ( I took one back off as I needed it for something else). It comes with the original manual, which is a work of art in itself, and a spool of tape ( used). Its very heavy so Im not willing to post it - collection only. As its spares or repairs I wont accept a return. Low starting price so maybe get a bargain...... Happy bidding!

Sadly it needs some tlc to be fully working! As you can see it is rather battered up, and the case is falling apart (although stays together ok with the machine in). When powered on play, fast forward and rewind appear to work but I cannot get any signal from the inputs or outputs (no VU meter movement either). All the potentiometer feel like they ought to be replaced but in particular the volume and balance ones are very bent and don’t seem to lock into place correctly. I’m not convinced they are working properly when turned on so it may be simple as swapping these to the replacements I am including in the sale (although I doubt it…) I have replaced the dreaded RIFA capacitors with suitable modern replacements so no worries about it blowing up on turning on. The heads look in good condition to me, but please study the pictures as I cannot make any guarantees. This would be a great donor machine or a fixer upper; everything looks to be ok inside from a visual look (from my basic electronics knowledge).
