Up for auction is a pair of vintage, pretty rare Acoustic Research AR15 speakers.  All drivers work properly and the speakers sound excellent (over the years, I've owned AR3's, 3a's, various 2's, 4's , 58's and 91’s, and these 15's certainly hold up well in that company).  The tweeter level switches work as they should.  When I purchased these speakers, a quick look at the woofers seemed to indicate that the surrounds needed replacement but, when I hooked them up, the bass response and lack of distortion indicated otherwise.  Pulling the woofers showed that the previous owner left old foam residue on the fronts of the cones and attached the new surrounds on the backs of the cones.  Cosmetic condition is pretty good for their age- I applied some Howard Restore a Finish to mitigate various scratches and defects and the cabinets look quite good.  The original foam dust covers show some deterioration but still look pretty respectable.  Selling because they're just too big for my near-field listening location in a small den.  Offered AS IS, as described.  Please check the photos to judge condition and ask any questions prior to bidding.  Shipping only within the lower 48 US states (the speakers are quite heavy and solid-feeling so shipping is a bit high).  Local pickup welcome.  Thanks for looking.
