I used it to drive 2 Eminence Alpha-15a subs in H frames for use with my open baffle DIY speakers with amazing results. Never had a hum or any issues etc... The R-205 was a $1200 subwoofer and a replacement amp was around $500 if purchased from REL. I installed rubber feet on the bottom and a sash handle on the top. Glass logo on the front for looks. Subwoofer manual printed from the internet is included. The control box is separate on The R-205 which allowed me to install controls on top of the box for easy access. This is perfect to drive your DIY or passive subs and take advantage of the REL connection to amplifier speaker jacks for smooth integration with your speakers. Properly set-up and positioned, they will take advantage of physics and room acoustics to provide deep pressurization as no other subwoofer can. Unique to the REL are its connectivity options. For two-channel audio systems a high-level connection, using the enclosed cable with the Neutrik Speakon connector, is always the first choice. By connecting to the amplifier's speaker outputs the sonic signature of the entire amplification chain is folded into the signal for the sub, thereby keeping timing and timbre cues consistent.
