I have been lucky enough to purchase a s/hand Hadcock GH242 tonearm and so my lovely Rega RB300 arm is now up for sale here. It is in full working order and comes complete with the mounting nut and card Rega alignment guage. This is in superb cosmetic condition as I hope the pictures show, with hardly any visible sign of use. There is a very small scuff and a tiny amount of loss of paint around the edge of the 3rd cartridge bolt mounting hole which I think must have been there from new, as I have never had a cartridge fitted with the 3rd bolt hole used. I only noticed the slight paint loss when I was taking the photos for the listing so it isnt obvious, and it could easily be touched in with a black pen of some sort if you felt the need. The headshell slots themselves show vitually no signs of cartridge fitting which is rare for the Rega arms, this one has only had one cartridge body very carefully fitted and removed so you can see what superb condition it remains in. The only other point of note is a very, very slight shine mark where the armtube contacts the arm retaining clip although this really is very hard to see. I have included a number of close up photos taken in natural daylight so you can see how small any imperfections are. The arm functions exactly as it should with smooth bearings free from sticking or notching of any kind, and it has always been used and handled carefully. The armlift/lower device works smoothly and there is perfect continuity from headshell tags right through to the factory fitted RCA phono plugs. This RB300 benefits from having the tungsten counterweight, as well as the original Rega cartridge alignment guage. I do not have original Rega box/packaging but have a suitable alternative box and plenty of packaging in which to safely wrap it for UK postage. The postage price includes tracking and insurance as standard. I have recently upgraded my turntable and speakers and as a result I am selling my trusted set up for the last 10+ years. This is getting sold as a job lot so I am not going to split, or sell items separately. This is for collection only and I am based in Greenwich London. Parking is free and loads of space outside. Access to the lift very close for ease too.I just wanted a great set up to play my vinyl and this is truly fantastic in regards to sound quality. The speakers are also ideal for my home recording as theyre great studio speakers. I wont be accepting returns/refunds. But happy to answer any questions, but please bare in mind I am not very techy. None the less I can try to answer. You can see the video of the speakers and Denon amp working by me connecting my phone to play music through them. ***vinyl records not included in the sale*** Rega Planar 1 (faulty)The Rega Truntable has recently stopped working. When turned on I can tap the needle and hear it coming through the speakers. But the belt is not turning. I am not clued up on such things, but as a guess it might need a new motor. Again I am not sure and only guessing what could be wrong. However maybe this can easily fixed, or even used for parts. Spirit Absolute 2 These are working perfectly! I will include the speaker wires too. Amplifier power ratings of up to 100 Watts RMS can be used. Connection to Absolute 2 is by high quality terminal which will accept bare wires, 4mm bannana plugs or 6mm fork terminals.
