I immediately swapped this platter at the dealer on my new Planar 3 for a Groovetracer Delrin platter. Honestly not sure it was worth it to upgrade because this is a lovely, heavy platter. (This is the case with too many audiophile products.) But I am going to hang on to the Delrin because its theoretically better...and I like the color. This platter has been sitting in my closet unused since I bought the turntable. I am moving next year and its time to sell this off. Auf der Front der Steuerungsbox ist sogar noch die original Schutzfolie, ebenso auf den Cinch Steckern. Die Original Verpackung, Manual, Netz- und Verbindungskabel sowie das Cinch Kabel zum Anschluß an den Verstärker sind dabei. Die - natürlich höhenverstellbaren - Spikes mit Unterlagen sind von Dynavox (60 €), der zweilagige Floatglas-Plattenteller ruht auf einem Alu-Subplatter des englischen Rega-Tuners Iceni Audio (160 €). Der legendäre 9- Tonarm RB 303 ist mit eingebautem Anti-Skating sowie mit einstellbarer Auflagekraft ausgestattet. Der Motor sowie seine Steuereinheit sind nagelneu - das aktuelle 24V-Motor-Upgrade-Kit von Rega (199 €). Neu ist natürlich auch der Antriebsriemen. Für einfachere Umschaltung von 33 auf 44 rpm sowie einen verbesserten Gleichlauf sorgt das mitgelieferte TT-PSU. Das Rack selbst ist in einem sehr schönen Ferrarirot ohne jegliche Kratzer. Versteigerung ohne Haube! Der Plattenspieler wird ausdrücklich ohne den auf den Fotos abgebildeten Tonabnehmer versteigert! Geliefert wird der Spieler wahlweise mit der originalen Filzmatte von Rega, der auf den Fotos abgebildeten Leder-Matte Leather-It von Pro-Ject oder einer Korkmatte (jeweils 50 €). Bitte bei der Versteigerung den Mattenwunsch als Mitteilung mit angeben. Mit jeder der Alternativen klingt der Spieler minimal anders, ohne dass ich hier klare Präferenzen gehabt hätte. Nur ohne geht´s halt gar nicht auf dem Glasteller. Klanglich ist an diesem RP 6 absolut nichts auszusetzen. Ich habe ihn mit mehreren hochklassigen Systemen betrieben, zuletzt mit dem Rega-eigenen Apheta II, das auf den Fotos zu sehen ist. Dieses hervorragende System kann ich gegen Aufpreis von 600 Euro mit abgeben. Ein Schnäppchen; neu kostet es 1.500 €. Damit klingt das Ganze überaus stimmig und gut. Die Zeitschrift Connect hat diesen 1.300-Euro-Spieler - meines Erachtens vollkommen zu Recht - in die High-End-Klasse eingestuft.
