Rega P3-24 Turntable RB301 tonearm, Elys 2 Cartridge, TTPSU Groovetracer Reference Sub-platter I am the second owner of this turntable. I purchased this turntable from a hifi forum back in 2014. In my near 10 years of ownership, I have probably played the turntable a total of 100 hours, if that. Prior owner anecdotally had roughly the same playtime if I remember correctly. I am selling because I have a second turn-table, and this one has not been getting as much airtime, so it’s gotta go. Auction listing starting at $0.99 so it will go for what it goes, no reserve. 100% smoke-free environment. Turntable is ready to play, but please note the following items, which you may choose to replace/upgrade depending on your personal preference: 1. Drive belt (Rega, white) probably needs replacement, but it works fine for now. (I replaced it once during my ownership.) 2. Elys 2 cart - this is the orignal cart that the table shipped with. Between previous owner and myself, the cart probably has around 200 hours on it. Not sure how good/bad that is, but it still plays fine to my ears. Original box is not pictured, but it will ship in it, along with manual and bearing oil. Please advise if you want additional pictures, I will provide them as quickly as possible. I immediately swapped this platter at the dealer on my new Planar 3 for a Groovetracer Delrin platter. Honestly not sure it was worth it to upgrade because this is a lovely, heavy platter. (This is the case with too many audiophile products.) But I am going to hang on to the Delrin because its theoretically better...and I like the color. This platter has been sitting in my closet unused since I bought the turntable. I am moving next year and its time to sell this off. This much loved turntable has been replaced with a P10, otherwise I would still be using it. It is equipped with an aluminium sub-platter, not a plastic one and super flexible silicone rubber drive belt. It has a Goldring G1042 cartridge. This really suits the Rega, its a superb pairing, I doubt anyone would not consider this a great combination. I only had the Goldring fitted a short while ago, it cannot have many hours of use. This turntable is in great condition and sound great.The only thing of note is that the lid seems to be a P2 one (only noticeable from the the lid emblem which could easily be removed/change), the lid has scratches but nothing bad or really noticeable from a distance. The P3 24 was a great product that essentially became the Planar 3 we see today.It offered the Planar 3/P3 turntable but with the addition of the 24v power supply already onboard (as the Planar is today). The P3 24 is a great turntable in stock form. If you fit one of the Rega cartridges then the 3 point mounting makes it a doddle to set up!I upgraded from the Elys 2 which was originally supplied to an Ania. Both are very good and so much easier to install with the 3 point mount.
