This is one beautiful turntable that is well design and easy to use. All speeds known to man, 33, 45 and 78 and you don’t have to change the belt just change the knob to your desired speed. Most Belt drive tables can’t do that. It has a brand new Rega Carbon cartridge AKA Audio Technical X3600L.My Video says a Grado not so, I was incorrect. Recommended tracking is between 3-3.5 Grams, no it does not hurt the records as this cartridge has a special type of absorption. The TT has been balanced and tested to work flawless. You can use the built-in preamp or just line out if you have an external pre-amp or receiver. It gives you the flexibility others don’t have. The speed can be adjusted in the rear of the TT. In Full disclosure, the ground screw was loose so I welded the ground cable for better contact. The turntable looks brand new but please realize it has been preowned but well take care as you can see from the pics. The Dust cover is included and it seems perfect except for some scratches that are barely noticeable. I will pack this turntable very well meaning separating the plater so it does not bang around the dust cover and make sure it has a good trip considering how UPS and FEDEX damage this kind of item. Music Hall championed vinyl decades before the current generation of hipsters discovered the glories of the groove, so I have to admit Im more than a little late to reviewing a Music Hall turntable. This one here in my listening room, the Music Hall mmf-1.5 feels like an auspicious beginning. The handsome plinth base, cast aluminum platter with a thick mat and curved aluminum arm caught my eye. The real cherry wood veneered base feels luxurious, and the mmf-1.5s removable headshell is a feature you wont find on Pro-Ject Debut Carbon or Rega turntables. I like removable headshells because they come in handy if you want to easily swap cartridges for different occasions. For example, pop on a spare headshell with a cheap cartridge when youre throwing a party, and another headshell with a higher-end cartridge for the times you want to go deep with your music. The mmf-1.5 is a belt-drive design that plays 33.3, 45 and 78 rpm records. Turntable set up is a snap thanks to the premounted Melody moving-magnet phono cartridge. The turntable has a built-in phono preamp, but if you have a decent phono preamp you can bypass the mmf-1.5s internal one. I listened both ways, with a $129 Schiit Mani phono preamp, and with the mmf-1.5s built-in one, which was decent enough, but the Schiit is a worthwhile upgrade. Also deserving special mention is the mmf-1.5s tonearm cueing device, its a smooth operator raising and lowering the arm, and the cueing lever feels sturdier than average. Im not much of an Elvis Presley fan, but when I found an Elvis 24 Karat Hits! LP on the street a few years ago I played it once or twice and filed it away. In the midst of writing this review I by chance played that LP again. This time Elvis spoke to me, his phrasing and power, and his bands rockin rhythms got my juices flowing. The mmf-1.5 brought me closer to Elvis music, the production and sound quality, which I never noticed before. The mmf-1.5 may not have the gutsy bass brawn of a big direct drive turntable like a Pioneer PLX 1000 ($699), but the mmf-1.5 wins on finesse and regularly occurring musical epiphanies that make it hard to stop playing one LP after another. Tenor saxophonist Ike Quebecs brilliant Bossa Nova, Soul Samba LP from 1962 was where the allure of analog sound really kicked in. Quebecs rounded tone and fuller sound were the sort you rarely experience with digital files. Ive said it before, but the best way to enjoy digital audio is never listen to a well recorded LP on a decent turntable. Digital may be clearer, but digital inevitably winds up sounding more two-dimensional, and less like real humans playing tunes.

I have completely dismantled this turntable and then either replaced or meticulously cleaned and reconditioned every component as it was rebuilt. Rest assured, I have rebuilt dozens of Linn Sondek LP12 turntables over the years with excellent results and every new owner has been very pleased - I only recently began selling them on eBay, however. Product Description: The plinth is an original Linn plinth constructed from Afromosia hardwood and has that classic Linn fluted finish. It is perfectly square and level, and presents in very good condition. The top-plate is a genuine Linn one which has been carefully cleaned and reinstalled using brand-new hardware. The sub-chassis is an original Linn bonded model which has been thoroughly checked to ensure no warping, carefully cleaned, and re-fit to the plinth also using brand-new hardware. It has an excellent Linn pre-Cirkus bearing (which some say is more musical than later bearings). The bearing has been carefully cleaned and was found to be in superior condition. It comes with the matching Linn inner platter and a beautifully cleaned Linn outer platter. In addition, a genuine and like-new Linn felt mat is included. The tonearm is a genuine Rega RB251 which easily passes the swing and bob tests confirming the horizontal and vertical bearings are in great shape while the head-shell presents in fine condition. The tonearm cable is also an original Rega supplied one while the tonearm board is a brand-new stunning black Perspex model in excellent condition. As for the mechanics, the springs and grommets are genuine Linn and brand-new while the motor is a genuine Linn model which has been completely cleaned, serviced, and lubricated to give years of trouble-free service. The mudguard washers and aerotight lock nuts have been replaced with brand-new and the ground wire (earth cable) is also a brand-new Linn one. I have supplied a brand-new genuine Linn belt, and a vial of spare Linn oil is also provided for the bearing. The power supply is an original Linn Valhalla that has been thoroughly tested and has a brand-new, fast-blow ceramic fuse installed. It supports 110v or 240v operation and will be set to 110v operation to function in North America unless 240v is requested. I have included a brand-new superior quality 16-gauge, 5-foot power (mains) cable with a North American 3-prong plug which can be swapped for a UK 3-prong plug if desired. The lid (dustcover) is a genuine Linn model and it is in very good condition (one small scratch and a few swirls - see photos), especially considering it is not new while the hinges are brand-new. The base is an original Linn fiber baseboard, and it includes a set of brand-new superior vibration isolation feet. Setup and Instructions: To help if you are new to the world of Linn LP12s, I supply instruction to assist in set-up and, while the bearing will be lubricated with brand-new Linn oil and a vial of spare Linn oil will be provided, instructions will also be provided as to how the confirm the oil level prior to use. Prior to shipping it will have all adjustments made including setting the springs for that special Linn pistonic bounce and the motor speed will also set by using a KAB Speedstrobe quartz-locked strobe-light system (the gold standard). Hallo zusammen, verkaufe einen meiner Plattenspieler. Es handelt sich um einen Rega Planar 2 aus Februar 2022 inkl. Rechnung, Filzauflage, Bedienungsanleitung, etc. Es ist ein neuer! Rega Elys 2 montiert. Enthalten ist auch der original montierte Rega Carbon Abnehmer. Dieser ist unbespielt. Zustand ist hervorragend. Dreher an sich nahezu Neuzustand, ich konnte nichts feststellen. Optisch, wie selbstverständlich auch technisch! Der Deckel hat, trotz hoher Achtsamkeit aber leichte Microswirls. Es wurde noch ein nach außen geführtes Massekabel angebracht und die Regatypische Masseverbindung zur Signallleitung getrennt. Da Privatverkauf keine Gewährleistung oder Rückgabe.

Der Plattenspieler ist in einem top Zustand. Durch den eingebauten Vorverstärker ist der Anschluss auch an AUX oder an einem anderen Anschluss am Verstärker möglich.
