The plinth is also a step up from the Planar 3 turntable. The previous owner upgraded to a Deep Groove sub-platter, and Ruby bearing. The motor pulley has been upgraded from a stock plastic to a polished metal one. One of the nice features on the Planar 25 is that it is fitted with a compact circuit that is small enough to fit in the motor housing under the plinth, and, more important, is effective enough to allow the motor to be hard-mounted, thus eliminating many of the problems in a suspended motor like on the Planar 3. We fitted the table with a New Old Stock Grado Blue cartridge. The table sounds fantastic, and is in very good physical condition. There are some blemishes and nicks in the finish along the front edge of the plinth, and on the left and right side, where the lid comes down. The top has some light scuffs and swirls, but it is in very good condition. Overall the table presents itself very well, and it has been well cared for. See pictures for further details on the condition of the table. We dont have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams. This is wonderful audiophile turntable manufactured to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Regas analogue achievements and received outstanding reviews in publications such as What HiFi and Stereophile magazine. Rosewood base surround with black plinth Includes dust lid, RB600 tonearm, Dynavector cartridge, UK 24v mains adapter, instruction booklet, BNC/phono converter, original subplatter, original box & most of the inner packing. This one owner turntable is in perfect working order and excellent cosmetic condition. There is a slight mark at the rear of the plinth (see photo). The dust lid may have some light surface scratches with close inspection but I could not see anything significant. Purchased from a long standing local audio specialist and used in a smoke and pet free environment, this wonderful example of the P25 also has a host of upgrades professionally installed. The turntable has the phono plugs professionally changed to the NAIM ready BNC type (see pictures) but is supplied with gold plated BNC/Phono converters.
