No speaker was needed to see this. The output meters showed this. Only the left channel on both A and B speaker outs had great signal. This was confirmed by using test signal from radio and other input tests. Also verified with headphone jack. Also tested by running input directly into Main In and avoiding PreAmp out. Right channel no signal also confirmed. This applies to all testing below as well. AM - hooked up antenna - worked great FM - hooked up antenna - worked great. EQ controls, volume, filters on front panel - working but limited quality due to test speaker and no right channel. But appear to be good. Tape 1, Tape 2, - working as intended. Aux, Phono 1, Phono 2 - working but 60Hz ground noise on all inputs. Also Phono 2 someone had put either dielectric grease or petroleum jelly in the jack. A great example of a very rare and impressive amplifier in good condition for age The first home amplifier to put out over 100w rms and is extremely loud and punchy All leds are working and the case is in great condition Volume and balance are crackle free and no signs of worn out capacitors when it’s switched on or off, no nasty pops. Would benifit from a service as it’s over 40 years old Couple of slight issues to be aware of… Volume control know is loose and needs re-attaching/gluing back on to the potentiometer. The low pass filter button is a little dusty and has a crackle when used, that’s all I can seem to find when I’ve tested it. It’s generally in much better condition than many amps of this age. It’s looks beautiful in the dark! A quality piece of kit and an extremely rare find. Posting… It’s nearly 20kg in weight and in an ideal world it would be collected or dropped off personally but if posting is required I will pack it extremely robustly and carefully for the journey.
