It was factory serviced 2 years ago. During shipping the chassis got bend somehow, I tried to capture this in the last photo, the rear foot does not make contact. From the front you cant tell, and it functions perfectly. I had this matched with a Motif MS-100 and an Adcom 5500. It adds a very nice warmth without getting in the way. The well-regarded original Quicksilver Audio full function tube preamplifier. Black chassis/rack mounts. Great phono section. Responds well to tube swapping. Tube complement is 1 GZ34/5AR4 rectifier, 2 12FQ7, 2 12AX7 and one 12AU7 (I was using 5814 variant). I am including the current tube set I have been using, plenty of life left on these new production, low noise small signal tubes. I did keep my Philips GZ34 for other use but am providing a JJ GZ34, though you may wish to use another. The only issue is occasional volume pot dust noise...the pots are FINE! I asked Mike Sanders, owner of Quicksilver, and he just typically suggested running them up and down a few times with the unit off. Thats Mike. However, you may want to get a good tech cleaning done. Im knocking my asking price down a bit for that....but the preamp is great! Mike also is adamant about not upgrading parts like capacitors...to keep from messing with the sound design.
