After that we spaned the panel a new Mylar mebrane using the original material and the original tooling. We also use a very thin conductive Layer to get the Mylar membrane conductive. Up for sell is a rebuilt Quad esl lower treble panel in black color. This panel had been cleaned thoroughly before mounting with Dupont 5 micron Mylar. The glue I used is NOT the regular Epoxy, it is a special glue that takes 3 days to be on cure time. So it is much stronger then the regular Epoxy. Same glue applied on stators between the frame. Mylar tension and coating resistance is properly applied. Please see photo of the works I done. Sound test is normal having the signature sound of Quad ESL. Please note this sale is for U. S. For sale a lovely pair of Quad ESL63 Electrostatic Speakers with black tops and consecutive serial numbers [033661 and 033662]. These have been disassembled and all panels inspected for loose stators, defective Mylar on the panels and repaired where needed. New grille clothes have been fitted and they have been tested for 48hrs continuous playing. Importantly there is no crackling, fizzing or popping noises at zero volume. Not much more to say about these, they are a stunning pair of ESL63s in immaculate condition. Yes you can buy cheaper, but would those have had a complete refurb and if a panel fails then you are looking at £100s to correct that. Up for sell is a pair of Quad ESL63 electrostatic speaker in good working condition. All 8 panels rebuilt with Dupont 5 micron mylar. Fresh epoxy glue added to panel stators. New dust covers. The fabric covers are clean and in good condition. The electronic section is clean and all parts are in good order. Electrostatic power measured at about 4.8K with fully loaded. The wood top has minor hair line scratches. I have conducted sound test and the sound quality is normal. Please note this sell is for a pair of Quad ESL63 speaker only. No power cable. No stands. The tension gauge, the ohm meter and The eht meter in the picture are NOT included. (if you like the EHT meter, I can sell it to you in a separate eBay transaction). All the items on the background are NOT included. It is completely silent for days at a time, then shows up for maybe half an hour, then clears again. Please NO RETURN ACCEPTED DUE TO POSTAGE HASSLE IT IS BIG AND HEAVY Physically in great condition except one tiny hole on back of cover clothing which is hardly noticeable and one Tiny crack line on bottom which is hardly noticeable (brand new price was around £8000 there are really big and heavy loud speakers please download the pdf for the dimensions on google so you can know exact size and weight
