Quad Esl 63 Electrostatic Speakers. These speakers pop and fart like an incontinent octogenarian. Theyre a bit rough round the edges, but... They still play music.. Just. They need the stators glueing (I would imagine), its not a massive job(in the great scheme of things) but I cannot be arsed and the Mrs wants them out of the living room. For sale a lovely pair of Quad ESL63 Electrostatic Speakers with black tops and consecutive serial numbers [033661 and 033662]. These have been disassembled and all panels inspected for loose stators, defective Mylar on the panels and repaired where needed. New grille clothes have been fitted and they have been tested for 48hrs continuous playing. Importantly there is no crackling, fizzing or popping noises at zero volume. Not much more to say about these, they are a stunning pair of ESL63s in immaculate condition. Yes you can buy cheaper, but would those have had a complete refurb and if a panel fails then you are looking at £100s to correct that. Pair ESL 63. Both speakers working, and sound excellent. One with no issues at all. The other one has a very occasional ‘popping’ noise from the lower bass panel. It is completely silent for days at a time, then shows up for maybe half an hour, then clears again. Please NO RETURN ACCEPTED DUE TO POSTAGE HASSLE IT IS BIG AND HEAVY Physically in great condition except one tiny hole on back of cover clothing which is hardly noticeable and one Tiny crack line on bottom which is hardly noticeable (brand new price was around £8000 there are really big and heavy loud speakers please download the pdf for the dimensions on google so you can know exact size and weight

Sold as-is for parts/repair due to unknown history. They are dead quiet upon power up and sound excellent. All panels appear to work correctly. They are being sold strictly as-is for parts due the fragile nature of these as the glue can give at any time and I do not know if they’ve ever been rebuilt. So, assume they will need a complete rebuild now, or in the near future. —Please ask any questions before bidding— Local pick up only(Portland,Or.)
