Early Quad 44 pre amplifier. Just been serviced having not been used for some years. Its in nice clean cosmetic condition with just the odd minor mark here and there on the corners. We have tried to show this in the photos. The amplifier is full working order. As you may know, the Quad 44 is modular so you can buy different modules to plug in to suit the components you want to use. This example is fitted with Radio (5 pin DIN only), Aux, (5pin and RCA), Disc (MM phono module for turntables 5pin and RCA) and 2x 5pin only Tape Replay modules. T The power supply is currently configured for UK operation but if you flick the switch you can change it to 110V (the fuse may also need changing). We can ship worldwide from the UK. Hello everyone, Up for bid is one pair of Quad amplifiers in excellent working and cosmetic condition, extremely recommended by true audiophiles, it is a shame that I cant take a photo from one article of the famous Japanese magazine Stereo Sound, the hi-fi writer persuaded those who often look for fancy equipments to look for this set to get the most beautiful English sound. Actually I used it to run my hard-to-drive JBL Olympus SR and they performed just fine. These pair are US voltage and come with the all the connecting cables. Not easy to find this condition and never been molested and in collectors condition, I myself am a collector for more than 30 yeas but still have to let them go due to some financial condition, Los Angeles pickup only unless you agree to sold as is policy for vintage electronics. Quad 44 Pre Amplifier Sought After Late Charcoal Grey Model + 500 Upgrades. I purchased this, and as most people understand, due to the age of these pre amps, they generally need capacitors replacing and servicing. I went the full hog with this one and had the Red Hill Audio stage 3 upgrade done during the service. This cost 500. It totally transformed the pre amp. You will see from the pictures that it has an external power supply that is part of the upgrade. Just around lock down, I sent all my quad equipment to Amplabs electronics, and it came back with a clean bill of health. It required no work. He did some work on my other items. Excellent service! I have hung on to this as it sounds great, but I dont use it. I have decided to let someone else enjoy it and move it on. Its fully tested and in good working condition.
