Cambridge Audio A5 Amplifier Preamp + QUAD 405-2 Power amp boards replaced original CA power amp section.This is original power amp section replacement project with highly regarder QUAD 405-2 power amp boards.All preamp section of CA A5 is retained all functions working, there is possible to install PHONO stage board on demand.All knobs / selectors / volume and tone adjustment works as in originial design.Only one pair of speaker bins are connected, the 2nd was removed due to the space limitation.Power amp boards connected to speaker bins directly with no speaker delay/protection circuit (so there must be paid attention for connecting speakers - do not short). Power on thump in speakers is verly low in volume - not concerning.All tested working and sounds great. PSU is made of Nichicon 4 x 2200uF per rail (positive and gative) (total 8 x 2200uF).
