Bei dieser Endstufe von Quad wurden vor wenigen Jahren alle alten Elkos gegen neue, hochwertige Elkos gleichen Typs ersetzt. Außerdem wurden die originalen OP-Amps gegen modernere und bessere von Burr Brown 604 getauscht und ordentliche Anschlüsse für Ein- und Ausgänge verbaut. Darüber hinaus wurde die Eingangsempfindlichkeit (nach Anleitung von DADA-electronics, Belgien) für heutzutage gängige Vorstufen angepasst. Die Beschreibung dieser Anpassung kann gerne mitgegeben werden. Das Gehäuse wurdem ansonsen, bis auf die Anschlüsse auf der Rückseite, optisch nicht verändert. Es hat normale Gebrauchsspuren, siehe Bilder. Der Quad 405 stammt aus einem rauch-und tierfreiem Haushalt. Selbstverständlich wird das Netzanschlusskabel mitgeliefert.
