It is in good condition albeit with scuffs, marks. Wooden panels are in fairly good shape . Refer to pics. One VU meter is non functional. Despite all my efforts to figure out what the problem is, I could not get it working again and on this model replacing it is not nearly that simple because of a very limited clearance inside of the deck to access everything. So for that reason I just left it as is. Video proof has been posted that that particular channel is working in both source and tape. It has been tested, serviced, calibrated and the heads were cleaned and demagnetized for the best sound ever. The mic inputs were tested and they work as well as the other inputs. The pots and switches were sprayed and the metal parts were lubed as well. Both channels are clear and superb sounding as well. The belts and caps were checked and they’re good. All the functions work and the VU Meters light up and jump like they are supposed to. The sound when recording at 7 1/2 IPS is very clear and better and wider sounding than the Source recording from, depending on the type of tape used and better at 15 IPS . The heads are also in very good shape which is obviously why the quality is awesome as well. Quad 33 Control Unit pre-amplifier pre amp for 303. I have recently removed this Quad 33 from it’s teak sleeve. As such it is in exceptional condition. Please see pictures for condition. I’d be keeping this unit if I hadn’t recently purchased an Amplabs serviced 33 and 303! I have tested the unit with a Google Chromecast into the Radio Two input, it works fine. I have not tested all functions or inputs. I would budget for a service or once over yourself if you are electronically minded as it looks to have been untouched since production and as such will not be functioning to it’s best. I will include a modern 3 pin 240V to Bulgin power cable and contemporary cabling to the 303. Due to the age and vintage nature of these decks, there is no further warranty or guarantee implied, nor expressed other than the 7 day promise given as a courtesy it will arrive working as described in the listing (which begins the day the item is delivered). After the time period expires, the sale becomes final.If in any case the buyer chooses to return the deck for a refund, the buyer agrees that I require up to 3 calendar days after the returned deck is received to issue that refund.
