Quad ESL 2905 Electrostatic loudspeakers - Customer trade-in. Wonderful sounding speakers with the characteristic free and un-boxy sound of electrostatics. One speaker had 6 panels replaced in 2020 at Quads service Department in Huntingdon. Missing one of the rear plastic mains covers and the rear power light on one speaker no longer works. These developed a fault, when not used for two years in lock down, these still work, and play music through them, but they have a pulse, - ticking noise, when power is turned off on speakers, it stops on the sound still plays. Quad ESL 2905 Speakers Pair. Selling due to a death in the family. Used regularly. Held to a good standard. Good working order.

Quad ESL 2905 full range Electrostatic loudspeakers in the more expensive optional Classique finish. They sound fantastic, especially with a valve amplifier, and are working perfectly. The fabric is unmarked and the magnetic connector covers are in place. The Quad logos on both speakers illuminate as they should. The ESLs include a custom cast plinth to significantly increase stability - photo 2. They fix to the original plinth using the original feet fixing holes, and the additional cast plinths then have gold adjustable spikes fitted. These add significant mass to the speakers, which were already quite heavy, lowering the centre of gravity and so stabilising the panel. The only blemish is a small scratch on the upper surface of the plinth at the rear of one speaker, this is shown on photo 7. I do not have the packing boxes, so collection (or delivery) will need to be arranged, with a suitably large vehicle. These are great speakers with a truly great musical presentation and I am only selling as I dont have the space to keep them. Nothing can touch them (in my opinion) at anything near this price.

I have a number of these available and can supply either the top/bottom or middle panels. All the panels fully tested and guaranteed to work. I have other ESL parts, electronics and some wooden tops mainly black that I can list if required. I am happy to post worldwide but please check shipping costs with me first as these are usually less than shown by ebay.
