DAC have quite rare, optional, TOSLINK optical input in addition to standard RCA SPDIF coaxial input. This little DAC was introduced by QED from UK in early 90s as direct competitor to Audio Alchemy DDS dacs, and received strong positive feedback from audio community around the world. Build around SAA7323GP bitstream DAC this unit have excellent minimalist design, short signal path and surprisingly good sound. He did outperform a few premium quality, expensive CD players and dacs from my collection, as more musical and natural sounding converter. Sound is dynamic and detailed with analogue touch. Real pleasure to listen. DAC can be powered from 12V battery and will perform even better. Comes as pictured with power supply. Unit will be guaranteed to be working on arrival.
