Vintage Pye Cambridge Mozart Hi Fidelity Amplifier, Pre Amp and booklet. Spares or Repair. These parts were recently removed from a wooden cabinet they were fitted to. Prior to removal the amp and pre-amp were powered up and the Pye power button on the front of the pre-amp lit up and the two valves on the main amp also lit up. The wiring used in the wooden cabinet was quite complicated and used plastic chop blocks to connect the power. The wiring system used was not extracted from the cabinet. So a qualified electrician/electronics technician would need to wire this safely for use. The pre-amp is generally in good condition for its age with a few light marks in places. The copper looking front panel is generally in very good shiny condition but has a few light scratches. The amplifier seems to have been modified by the previous owner, with the middle black transformer being removed and 2 externally wired silver transformers being attached. Please see pictures for details. I am not sure if the modification to the amplifier was a good idea or not. I am therefore selling the items as spares or repairs for someone qualified in electronics/electric servicing to either use the parts or restore the amp to its original form if the transformer modification is not usable or safe. The amplifier would need to have power re-wired to it as no connection to the mains is attached. The instruction booklet including the circuit diagrams for both the amp and pre-amp are included. So therefore someone with technical electronics/ electronic knowledge would be able to restore these items to their best condition. Please feel free to ask for any additional information or pictures.
