VHS TAPE TRANSFER - TESTED, WORKS PERFECTLY The DVD side is a recorder which is great for transferring your old VHS tapes to DVD. Includes the original remote control with batteries. The remote is essential for being able to navigate the menus to finalize a DVD so you can play them on any machine. Also includes an A/V Cable, 2 blank DVD-R Discs, and a printed instruction manual. I have tested this machine for DVD recording from a home-recorded VHS video tape and it works perfectly! Fully refurbished. I cleaned the laser lens, tape heads and tape path, and the mode select switch (this switch is buried underneath the VCR mechanism. All this requires the entire machine to be taken apart and put back together. Pye PDV560VR DVD/VHS Combi Player Recorder. Both DVD and VHS playback is good and clear and all functions work. I have recorded successfully from DVD to VHS but not the other way because I dont have any recordable DVDs. There is no manual so Im not even sure if it is even capable of VHS to DVD recording! Physically it is in superb condition and remotes are available to buy cheaply online
