At 100 Watts / 8 and the ability at music passages to deliver up to 1,600 Watts of audio power for short duration makes this amp perform super well with most speakers. It sports a dual mono power supplies and a single power supply that runs the 100 watts out. At large music passages. the high current & voltage mono power supplies kick in. BUT WAIT THERES MORE This unit has been completely recapped, excluding the rail caps, which checked better than new. The bias setting have been set to factory specs. The VU meters lamps have been replaced with LEDs so they will last a lifetime. Also new speaker binding post have been install that are super rugged. and a IEC power connector, and will come with a generic IEC power cord. Also new Tiffany RCA input jacks have been installed. This unit have undergone hours of testing and burn in under load, driven by a Harman Kardon CD 491 player into a Harmon Kardon 825 preamp into Paradigm B/P Espirit 300 w Towers. Ich weiß es nicht.Hatte einige Transistoren des linken Kanals geprüft,auch die Endstufe,aber nichts gefunden,bzw alles okay.Mit dabei ein 2.Gerät,bzw die Reste davon,siehe die letzten Fotos.2 intakte Endstufen-Transistoren lege ich bei! Proton wurde zusammen mit NAD von Fulet in Taiwan in den 80er Jahren gefertigt.Die Geräte weisen große Ähnlichkeiten auf,die Proton´s finde ich allerdings wertiger (z.B. Metallfront) und auch klanglich den NAD Geräten überlegen. This is a great vintage stereo amplifier.Rated at 100 wpm but can produce enormous short term power when necessary. (Search YouTube for tests!)I refreshed this amp within the last year: So many other listings say their unit has been tested or serviced.Its typically not true - cleaned is not synonymous with serviced. Electrolytic Capacitors have been replaced and upgraded (with the exception of the four big caps, which tested fine).New relay installed.New chassis mount RCA inputs installed.These are a well known issue with this model. If you are looking at other offerings, make sure that the upgrade has been done,otherwise eventually your amp will have intermittent audio - possibly damaging your speakers.New Green LED lamps installed in the meters and power switch.Professionally powder coated cover.I have a different cover that has been stripped. I would reduce the price of this transaction by $50 if the buyer prefersto have me install/ship the unit with the stripped cover. I have not had the opportunity to have it powder coated. The faceplate has faded a bit - this common.The top of the faceplate has some small scratches, most likely from when gear was placed on top of it.I still have another unit in my system... need to lighten up the collection. Even though I have refreshed, tested this unit - due to the nature of vintage electronics - this is an AS IS sale.
