Very good working condition. Original VU meter lamps work fine and look great lit up in the dark. The housing in very nice, clean shape with only a couple very small scuffs/chips. The front looks great with no scratches or smudges. Overall a really clean unit that I used myself for a while and am pretty bummed to sell. One previous owner before me. I bought this new in the mid-nineties. It has been a trusted companion through my entire adult life. It’s insanely powerful and sounds outstanding. Unfortunately, a few months ago, the right channel would occasionally turn off. I was told it was probably “a dirty speaker relay (the one you hear click when it turns on).” Since I now have less time to deal with things like this, I’m hoping a buyer will either clean the relay or fix this and enjoy it for years to come. At the time I disconnected it, both channels were working fine. But it’s an issue. I had the VU meter lamps changed to “forever” LED’s a few years ago. Da ich der landläufigen Meinung, dass gute Endstufen „anders“ klingen, nicht zustimme, kann ich zu diesem Thema nicht viel sagen. Bei diesem Verstärker waren die Auswirkungen der Hochpegeltransienten, die häufig das 6-dB-DPD-Licht zum Leuchten brachten und zu Messwerten über 400 Watt führten, geradezu atemberaubend. Nicht viele „100-Watt“-Verstärker können dieses Leistungsniveau erreichen. Der D1200 ist in Schwarz gehalten und verfügt über zwei große Leistungsmesser. However, with this amplifier, the impact of the high-level transients—which often lit the 6-dB DPD light and produced meter readings of more than 400 watts— was nothing short of stunning. Not too many “100-watt” amplifiers can match that performance. The D1200 is finished in black, with two large power meters. The meters’ logarithmic scales span a range from a few milliwatts to many hundreds of watts (into 8 ohms), and the pointers have a rapid response time to follow program peaks.
