Proton VU Meter amplifiers are becoming more rare, and the AA-2120 is much more difficult to come by compared to the more common D1200 or the smaller AA-1150 at 50 watts per channel. Even that smaller amp has a reputation for being powerful, so you can imagine how much more powerful these larger amp are. Both VU meters work well. Appearance is very clean and well cared for. I replaced the feet to aftermarket metal ones as the rubber parts on original ones were disintegrating. I can include those if youd like. I have in the past used them to bi-amp my floorstanding 3-way speakers. You may want to consider LED replacements in the future.

This is a great vintage stereo amplifier.Rated at 100 wpm but can produce enormous short term power when necessary. (Search YouTube for tests!)I refreshed this amp within the last year: So many other listings say their unit has been tested or serviced.Its typically not true - cleaned is not synonymous with serviced. Electrolytic Capacitors have been replaced and upgraded (with the exception of the four big caps, which tested fine).New relay installed.New chassis mount RCA inputs installed.These are a well known issue with this model. If you are looking at other offerings, make sure that the upgrade has been done,otherwise eventually your amp will have intermittent audio - possibly damaging your speakers.New Green LED lamps installed in the meters and power switch.Professionally powder coated cover.I have a different cover that has been stripped. I would reduce the price of this transaction by $50 if the buyer prefersto have me install/ship the unit with the stripped cover. I have not had the opportunity to have it powder coated. The faceplate has faded a bit - this common.The top of the faceplate has some small scratches, most likely from when gear was placed on top of it.I still have another unit in my system... need to lighten up the collection.
