This is a classic Proceed by Madrigal (Mark Levinson) audio/video preamp. It is in great shape overall and sounds fantastic. The display works perfectly, which is rare. Includes an aftermarket remote that replicates all of the original remotes functions (most of the navigation is done via on-screen display anyway). Cosmetically, the unit is very good. The front face is near-perfect. There are some VERY minor paint chips on the back top edge, and 1-2 minor scratches on the top. Otherwise, it is excellent cosmetically. This preamp is a bit dated for A/V use, as it has no HDMI inputs (composite RCA and S-video only). But for a vintage system, or as an audio-only preamp, it is amazing. As I mentioned, it has on on-screen display and is able to learn which inputs are active, greatly simplifying setup. Sold for $4200 in 1994 dollars (over $9000 today); get this one for a fraction of the price! Includes the preamp, power cable, remote and a printout of the owners manual.

I just replaced. 1 digital display chip. The display is fine. For some reason the display says” active OSD” I can’t seem to reset it so I can’t make it play sound like it should. I can’t set the outputs like I want. Because of this I’m selling it for parts. The display chips are worth the cost. The unit is in great shape otherwise. FOR PARTS!!! I don’t know if it plays music! Madrigal Proceed AVP2 Audio/Video Preamplifier Mark Levinson for Parts/Repair This amp is not in normal working condition. It powers on but stays stuck with lights on and the screen displaying as shown. Unresponsive. It is being sold AS IS. Not sure what needs to be done. I received this unit in this condition. Has some scuffs/scratches as shown. Please view pictures for cosmetic condition. I have other audiophile equipment for parts listed separately.

When I try to power it on it us stuck on initializing. I waited around 20 minutes and it never changed. No further testing has been done. Selling as is. Good condition. Some minor scuffs but no major damage. Smoke free home. For any questions please ask, thank you for looking.
