This turntable was damaged during transit. There is a crack across the tone arm just behind where the cartridge mounts and two of the corners are missing some clear coat (see photos with finger pointing to the defects). Motor speeds and playback function, however, there is an intermittent hum if the tone arm wires are moved. This would be a great project (no pun intended) for a DIY’er or someone who isn’t overly concerned with cosmetics and wants to pick up a (relatively) high end turntable for cheap. There is ample slack in the wire to accomplish this easily for a DIYer. My old eyes and hands are just not up to the task!
