Product Description: The plinth is an original Linn plinth (S/N: 88033) constructed from carefully selected Ash and has a beautiful black finish. It is corner braced, perfectly square and level, and presents in excellent condition. There is one small mark on the top right at the back (see photos). The top-plate is the original Linn one serial-number matched to the plinth which has been carefully cleaned and reinstalled using brand-new screws, washers and nyloc nuts. The sub-chassis is a genuine Linn bonded model which has been thoroughly checked to ensure no warping, carefully cleaned, and re-fit to the plinth also using brand-new hardware. It has an excellent Linn pre-Cirkus main bearing (which some say is more musical than later bearings). The bearing has been carefully cleaned and was found to be in excellent condition. It comes with the matching Linn inner platter and a beautifully cleaned Linn outer platter, both of which are in very good condition. In addition, a genuine and brand-new Linn felt mat is included. The tonearm is a Pro-Ject 9CC constructed of beautiful carbon fiber which, although not new, easily passes the swing and bob tests confirming the horizontal and vertical bearings are in excellent shape while the head-shell presents in excellent condition. The manufacturers manual for the Pro-Ject 9CC tonearm is also included as are setup instructions. The tonearm cable is also an original Linn supplied one while the tonearm board is a recent genuine Linn model in excellent condition. As for the mechanics, the springs and grommets are genuine Linn and brand-new while the motor is a like-new Linn Premotec model which will provide years of trouble-free service. The mudguard washers and aerotight lock nuts have been replaced with brand-new and the ground wire (earth cable) is also a brand-new genuine Linn one. I also have supplied a brand-new Linn belt and a vial of spare genuine Linn oil is provided for the main bearing. The power supply has been upgraded to a brand-new 2-speed Hercules II which offers the convenience of 33.3 or 45 RPM speed selection at the push of a button. A brand-new, fast-blow ceramic fuse has also been installed. It also supports 110v or 240v operation and will be set to 110v operation to function in North America. Instructions for the Hercules II power supply are also provided. I have included a brand-new superior quality and heavy-duty 16-gauge, 5-foot power (mains) cable with a North American 3-prong plug. The lid (dustcover) is brand-new and, although not Linn supplied, it is a perfect fit and the hinges are also brand-new. The base is custom-made from Perspex and has cutouts to allow adjustment of the isolation springs and permits access to the tonearm cable plug. This item is in excellent almost like-new condition and has only been used a couple of times. Includes carrying case and movie theater style skirt for bottom of screen that covers the tripod legs. It is a beautiful and professional looking screen that can be used in either home theater set ups or for office presentations/group meetings. This item is for local pick up only and cannot be shipped. Delivery is not available. You will need to bring a vehicle that this can be loaded into and you will need to set it up on your own wherever you choose to keep it. Product Description: The plinth is an original Linn plinth constructed from ash and has a beautiful black finish. It is corner braced, perfectly square and level, and presents in excellent condition. The top-plate is the original Linn matched to the plinth which has been carefully cleaned and reinstalled using brand-new hardware. The sub-chassis is an original model as supplied by Linn which has been thoroughly checked to ensure no warping, carefully cleaned, and re-fit to the plinth also using brand-new hardware. It has an excellent pre-Cirkus Linn bearing which has been carefully cleaned and was found to be in superior condition. It comes with the matching Linn inner platter and a beautifully cleaned Linn outer platter. In addition, a genuine and brand-new Linn mat felt is included. The tonearm is a brand-new Pro-Ject 9CC constructed of beautiful carbon fiber which, as expected, easily passes the swing and bob tests confirming the horizontal and vertical bearings are in excellent shape while the head-shell presents in pristine condition. The tonearm cable is a genuine Linn supplied one while the tonearm board is a brand-new Linn one of their latest design. As for the mechanics, the springs and grommets are genuine Linn and brand-new while the motor is a brand-new Linn model which will provide years of trouble-free service. The mudguard washers and lock nuts have been replaced with brand-new and the ground wire (earth cable) is also a brand-new Linn. It is supplied with a brand-new Linn belt and a vial of spare Linn oil is also provided for the bearing. The power supply has been upgraded to a brand-new 2-speed Hercules II unit which offers the convenience of 33 1/3 or 45 RPM speed selection at the push of a button. A brand-new, fast-blow ceramic fuse has also been installed. It also supports 110v or 240v operation and will be set to 110v operation to function in North America unless 240v is requested. I have included a brand-new superior quality 16-gauge, 5-foot power (mains) cable with a North American 3-prong plug which can be swapped for a UK 3-prong plug if desired. The lid (dustcover) is genuine and brand-new as supplied by Linn and comes complete with brand-new Linn hinges. The base is custom-made from Perspex and has cutouts to allow adjustment of the isolation springs and permits access to the tonearm cable plug. It includes a set of brand-new superior vibration isolation feet. Setup and Instructions: To help if you are new to the world of Linn LP12s, I supply instruction to assist in set-up and, while the bearing will be lubricated with brand-new Linn oil and a vial of spare Linn oil will be supplied, instructions will also be provided as to how the confirm the oil level prior to use. Instructions for the Hercules II power supply operation and Pro-Ject 9CC tonearm are also included. Prior to shipping it will have all adjustments made including setting the spring “bounce” and the motor speed will also set by using a KAB Speedstrobe strobe-light system (the gold standard).
