Polk Audio SL5000 tweeters. Fully tested and working, they even have the special screws that Polk had made for mounting! I was a Polk dealer back in the 90s and had various sets of S4 and S6 speakers and got these tweeters as spares. They have been on the shelf since then.

Authentic, original non-working Polk Audio SL-2000 Silver Dome Tweeter for Polk monitor speaker series. The tweeter stopped working after I used a vacuum cleaner to suck the crinkle from the plastic dust cap. The flap of the dust cap flipped off partially and after putting it back in place, I realized it had stopped working. I am unsure what damage was done but the voice coil was not sucked out during the process. I am selling strictly for anyone who can fix these tweeters because they are among the best sounding tweeters on the market.

Pair of tweeters from Polk speakers, model SL2000. A few wrinkles in the domes, but these sound good when played with music or test tones through my crossover. On one the edge of the diaphragm was pulling away from the plate in a couple places, so I ran a tiny bead of Momentive 162 electronics grade clear RTV around the edge to keep things attached and aligned before anything happened. This does not extend onto the surround roll and does not affect the sound in any way that I could tell, and since it is clear, unless you compare directly to another one, you would probably not notice. I know how to pack things like this to avoid damage to the delicate domes, see the nylon standoffs and screws in the last picture. Please look at all the pictures and ask any questions before bidding.
