Up for auction are my four used but in like-new condition white Polk Audio RCi RTS-100 in ceiling speakers. These were the first in ceiling speakers to be given the THX Ultra 2 certification. I have had these in storage at my home for several years, and they are in pristine condition (with the exception of a broken speaker grill peg see photo). I am the original owner of these speakers, and I paid $1,200.00 each for them (over $5K for the two pair) when they first came out. They have been discontinued and are a rare find. These speakers sound incredible in stereo or in a home theater setup. The bass they put out is solid, and they are capable of handling heavy metal, classical, to Old School bass bumping rap music. They are a sealed cylinder speaker and can put out the bass! I ended up replacing them with Martin Logan ceiling speakers but was holding onto them to possibly set up a second home theater room in my home but never got around to it. I am clearing out some of my beloved stereo equipment and speakers, so they must go. These speakers will fit in just about every one story or two story home. The dimensions of each speaker are 14 inches overall in diameter (cut-out drywall diameter is 12.5 inches, the white plastic rim on the speaker sits on top of the drywall, the mounting depth is 8 3/4 inches needed). The speakers can handle up to 200 watts/channel 8 ohms, with a 92 dB efficiency. Each speaker has two 5-1/4 inch diameter drivers and one 1 inch diameter ring radiator tweeter. They each have heavy duty gold plated spring loaded terminals for speaker wire connections. The speakers each have multiple ratcheting plastic wings on the sides that sandwich down against the drywall to lock them in place. This is activated with a cordless screw driver from the front face of the speaker (very cool as you get no ceiling or wall vibration from the sound). They also have a positioning switch in case the speaker is placed near a corner or close to a wall; you flip the switch, and it adjusts for the speaker placement, providing ideal sound.
