Plexiglas dust cover is essentially clear and unmarked. Complete with working spring-loaded hinges that hold the cover up when raised. Furnished with a Empire LTD-500 Stereo Cartridge and a brand new Swiss-made diamond stylus, tested and playing nicely at 1-1/2 grams. This is a fully manual turntable: Lifting the arm starts the platter, you move the arm and lower it onto the record using the damped cueing lever, and play starts. When playing is complete, lift the arm with cue lever, and move tack to the armrest which will causes the turntable to shut off. Tested playing 33 and 45 rpm records, output is quite strong as is typical for the renowned Empire LTD series cartridges. A strobe test shows that the fixed play speeds are accurate. The motor is strong and quiet. I was able to detect no rumble. The PL-512 is the junior member of the vaunted Pioneer PL-5xx series family, with the main difference being the increased degree of automation provided in each succeeding member. This is a strong and durable turntable that should last a lifetime. Will be partially disassembled for shipping, with the dust cover, platter, counterweight and headshell removed and packed separately for safety.

Pioneer Turntable Dust Cover PL-112D PL-115D PL-512 PL-514 PL-516. This came off of my PL-115D that I parted out. No cracks or damage. It will need buffed because it has some scratches and imperfections.

Vintage Pioneer PL-512 turntable. The turntable itself is in fairly good condition with some shrinkage of the covering on the actual turntable but overall looks great. The dust cover is in poor condition and has a crack, scratches and overall is is in a fragile state. The turntable turns on and spins. I hooked it to a receiver and while music would play it seemed that it would skip or the cartridge would bounce. I replaced the needle with no improvement so either the cartridge is out of alignment or the cartridge is shot. I am thinning down my collection and no longer have a place or need for it. It will be sold as is with no reserve and no returns.

There is one small blemish to the right of the Pioneer badge that is barely noticeable, and I could not even get it to show up in the photos. This cover measures 16 and three-quarter inches wide by 13 1/4 deep by 2 1/half inches tall. Measurements taken at the top.
