Working Pioneer VSX D1S home stereo audio video receiver/amplifier in original box, with Audio/video programmable remote and original 52 page operating manual. 130 watts per channel, switchable 110/120/220/240 AC power. Excellent condition externally, no visual scratches (Some minor wear on power button). Control door opens and closes normally. Electronically, the display is bright and all function buttons operate normally. Receiver demonstration mode cycles through complete process. The receiver is missing the preamp jumper pins, (RCA cables were used for testing the receiver, see pic). CD and phono work normally with CD player and turntable (see video), tuner also works normally. Did not test tape or any of the video functions. The receiver does operate with some speaker hum, I am not sure how to alleviate it.  This receiver has been been unused for many years, so it may be it just needs cleaning/attention to pots and caps. Unfortunately I am a technological dinosaur so it has not been done.  If I can provide further pics of any any area I may have missed, or provide more info please let me know. It is a very heavy receiver, in excess of 33 lbs. I have the original box and shipping material for shipping. Genuine OEM Pioneer CU-VSX023 Programmable AV High End Remote Control. I believe this was originally paired with the VSX-9900S Receivers. This is the top of the line version with controls for 12 inputs, but can also be used with lower level receivers that only have 8. I actually used this one with a VSX-D1S Receiver, so all 12 buttons worked, although on the remote the top right input button is labeled for a laser disk player (LD), and on the VSX-D1S, the corresponding input is labeled as video disc player (VDP). This remote is system remote compatible for other components that you can connect with a small RCA plug to the receiver. There are some light indications of wear and use, but this remote has hasnt been abused, and remains in very good usable condition. The battery compartment is clean, with no sign of previous corrosion. This unit was tested today, and works properly including the back lighting on the input buttons. That said, this is 30+ year old technology, so it will be sold with no guarantees. Please use the photographs to get a good idea of the condition, and ask any questions prior to purchase. Pioneer VSX-D1S audio video stereo receiver. Includes remote. I plugged it in and the display comes up. I don’t have any way of testing so I don’t know if it works or not.

This is an old receiver but still in great working condition. Little dirty and very small normal scratches. Check photos for details. They are part of my description Only receiver is included. Nothing more. Shipping for Continental USA ONLY. SPECS. The VSX-D1S is Pioneer’s most powerful audio/video receiver. It contains a versatile AM/FM tuner and a preamplifier with Dolby Pro Logic decoding as well as digital signal-processing (dsp) circuits that can synthesize four additional surround modes. All surround parameters (including the relative levels at all speakers, delay times, etc.) can be altered by the user and the results stored in memory as an additional option. The VSX-D1S has five power amplifiers: one each for left, right, and center front speakers and left and right rear speakers. The receiver’s operating features are so numerous that we can merely mention some of the most important ones. The main (front) speaker amplifiers are rated to deliver 130 watts each into 8 ohms from 20 to 20,000 Hz with no more than 0.005 percent total harmonic distortion (THD). The center-channel and rear speaker amplifiers are rated at 40 watts each into 8 ohms at 1,000 Hz with 0.08 percent distortion. The preamplifier output and power-amplifier input for each channel are brought out to separate jacks on the rear apron, where removable jumper links permit the use of external power amplifiers. The tuner section has preset memories for up to thirty stations, either am or fm, using only ten buttons. The display can be programmed to show the call letters and program category (jazz, rock, etc.) as well as the frequency of any preset station. The preamplifier has audio inputs for a moving-magnet (MM) phono cartridge (with an input-sensitivity control), a CD player, two audio tape decks, another line source, a videodisc player (vdp), three vcr’s, and an additional video sound source. In addition to the composite (RCA-jack) inputs and outputs for three vcr’s, there are separate DIN sockets for use with S-video-compatible vcr’s. There is also an S-video input for a compatible videodisc player.

Unit is very clean cosmetically in excellent condition. As far as testing, I plugged in speakers, both A and B worked the tuner works all the buttons and dials work. I did not test every input and output as I do not have the equipment does not include remote or manual. Let me know if you need more pictures or have any questions sold as is.

Works great, a classic receiver with low low THD and high wattage. This one has the voltage selector option. This unit is in very nice, nearly excellent condition. I am unable to fully test it as I don’t have all the necessary input equipment to do so. This is what I did as far as testing and all functions work based on these tests. I connected speakers to both A and B inputs, as well as rear speakers, all worked. Used an iPhone and played music to test connection to Line and CD outputs, works. AM/FM radio works. Tested bass and treble adjustments, all worked. Tested the various surround sound modes and sound outputs changed. Tested the headphone output, worked. All displays are fully functional. I increased the volume and let it play for 15 minutes, no issues noted. There are lots of descriptions on the internet and the following is one I found. Take the time to research and you will find this is one of the best receivers ever made. An iconic monster receiver offering surround sound from the early 1990s. This heavy, complex beast sold for $1,400 then ... and received accolades like: All in all, the Pioneer VSX-D1S is a large, heavy, powerful, expensive, highly versatile, and fine-sounding receiver.
