This amp sounds really nice and works like new! I tested it on a set of Infinity RS-525 tower speakers that are 6-Ohm and these speakers are a little power hungry and the VSX-830 drove them easily. Playing a CD player at about 25% on the volume knob was rattling the windows in my workshop so this amp has lots of head room for heavy bass and clear & detailed surround sound. I would recommend this amp for a medium-sized to small sized listening room. ????
