Restarting the system seemed to solve. Then the next day the HDMI video and audio both seemed to go out (definitely video, suspect audio too). I tested the system (this unit + TV + Roku) with different HDMI cables and singled out this unit as faulty. I should have tested audio separately from video but didnt think to before disconnecting it to be replaced. The rest of the unit seems to be in working condition. It still powers up and the remote functions are all responsive. Tested the RCA CD input and it will still power speakers. Unit was purchased in August 2014 and has been kept in a cabinet its whole life. Good condition cosmetically. Remote is included and also in good condition, was never used and was kept in a drawer without batteries installed (system was operated by a universal remote). I will not ship batteries with the sale. I dont know whether or not the HDMI functions can be refurbished / repaired. At the very least it can function as a classical audio amplifier to power speakers from non-HDMI inputs.
