Description
Pioneer PD F107 Elite Series 100 Disc CD Changer FOR PARTS OR REPAIR + READ!(NO Remote) SORRY NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS ON THIS UNIT! SOLD AS IS - READ DETAILS BELOW...... CONDITION:I have spent a lot of time reviewing this unit. The carriage for some unknown reason will not move on its own.I removed the top of the external case (see pic 3). I was reviewing the movement of the parts or lack there of. I noticed that the CD carriage seemed to be stuck. I pushed what should be moving parts or the far left part of the CD carriage and achieved some movement that seemed to be on the track of the CD carriage. At that point the display light lit up for the first time (see pic 2). I could see where it stated CD 1 track 1. I decided to gently lubricate the track and see if that might resolve the problem I was initially seeing. The carriage simply went back by itself into its starting point and turned off the power. I am guessing this is a self-protection step, but it could simply a malfuntion. Because of the above I could not really do more testing. So, my conclusions are that the power supply works and there is either a logic problem or defective part that is not allowing the unit to perform as expected. Its in otherwise, good cosmetic condition and would makea good project for someone up to the challenge of bringing this jukebox back to life. When working this Pioneer CD player is one fine piece of machinery. It has a disc capacity of 100 and has great features like random play and Optical Digital Audio for awesome quality sound. Get it before its gone! Pls PM with any questions you may have.
