I have been restoring vintage amplifier, receivers, turntables and speakers for over 10 years. This unit arrived with intermittent sound. Scratchy sound was due to a dirty relay and dirty controls, especially the Tape 2 switch. All cleaned up and sounds great! This currently has warm white LEDs but I can swap out for cool white, blue, green, or amber. Request sample photos for examples. RESTOREDThis means many different things to different people so I have outlined what has been accomplished on this unit - Capacitors replaced (electrolytic and tantalum) - Main filter capacitors - Tone Control - Power Amplifier - Protection - Phono Section - Most (90%+) replaced with Nichicon capacitors - Replaced 2SD313 transistors on the amplifier board with TIP41C as they run hot and are prone to failure/drift - Relay removed, contacts cleaned and reinstalled - Meter bulbs replaced with warm white LED - Power and stereo bulbs replaced with white LED - All controls cleaned with DeOxit and contact cleaner - Face plate and knobs polished - Interior cleaned of dust with soft bristle brush and compressed air - New cabinet made of walnut plywood with 3 coats of polyurethane - Metal grill was stripped and repainted with satin black enamel spray paint (resists scratches) TESTED - FM: Receives in stereo using a simple dipole antenna. Reception is good. - AM: Works well. - Phono: Works well. - Aux: Works well listening to CD and computer audio. - Tape: Input work well listening to reel to reel/CD. VISUALFace plate is in excellent condition with only very light scratches along the top edge. Knobs are in very good shape with some minor small marks. Some knobs are a little bent - straightened them out as best possible. Cabinet was built new. Check the photos and use the zoom feature for a closer look. Pioneer SX-750 SX-650 Ferrite Bar Antenna & Holder AXB-004. This was carefully removed from my parts unit, and I cut the wires right next to the soldered connections so that you wont have to do any slicing to make the connections on the installation. The plastic socket that holds the antenna to the back of the receiver is in good shape also.
