HiVision LD ist sozusagen das HD-Format mit nochmal verbesserter Auflösung unter den LaserDiscs, diese Rarität ist nie außerhalb Japans erschienen, somit ist hier zu beachten dass nur Scheiben im NTSC-Format abgespielt werden können (Hi-LDs gab es aber auch nur als NTSC) und ein Transformator benötigt wird, da das Gerät nur 100/110V arbeitet. Auch der Stecker ist natürlich in der gewohnten japanischen Norm, daher sollte man noch einen Universal-Reiseadapter zur Hand haben. Dieser wurde auch gründlich generalüberholt, das Laufwerk gereinigt und gefettet, neue Riemen verbaut und somit läuft dieser wie am ersten Tag. Auch optisch ist das Gerät ein echter Blickfang, zwar sind auf der Oberseite einige Kratzer vorhanden, die Front und die Seiten sind aber in sauberem, sehr gutem Zustand.
