Pioneer PL-L70 Linear Tracking Direct Drive Turntable Currently, this unit does not work. It did work fine last year when used several times and sounded great. When tested for this listing (see video), the unit powered on fine. After pressing the Start button repeatedly, the Start button eventually responded and the turntable did spin. When that happens, the needle arm moves slowly over to the LP but does not drop. Otherwise, this unit is in very nice cosmetic condition with a few minor blemishes. New needle. Never stored. From a smoke-free home. The 45 round insert is missing. The service manual can be found on manualslib dot com. Shipped with all care in bubble-wrap in a sturdy box. Vintage Pioneer PL-L70 Linear Tracking Direct Drive Turntable in Excellent Condition, but DOES NOT TURN ON. It looks great, and it played and operated flawlessly when I last used it some years ago. It produced clean and even playback on both channels, and at both speeds. After years of storage (here in Southern California), it wont turn on nothing lights up. I have not had it evaluated; there are manuals available online. I suspect the culprit is a fuse or corroded switch, but it will need maintenance to replace belts, and clean and lubricate all the mechanicals in any event. It has seen no use for quite some time. The cabinet is in very good condition, with a few light scuffs on the clear dust cover. Shipped in the Original Box and packaging, with the turntable locked down and the cartridge secured, by the original, non-smoking owner.
