There are many favorable reviews and other online articles on this 70s turntable. The Pioneer PL-A35 is a classic wood & metal turntable. The base (plinth) is a beautiful walnut wood veneer on a heavy wood frame. There is a heavy-duty motor for the platter and a Gear motor for the Pick-Up. The entire turntable is about 20 lbs. (package weight about 27+ lbs). The turntable is built like a tank. The quality of the build and components explains why this turntable is still highly desirable.Designed for ease-of- operation as well as precision, the PL-A35 is fully automatic— from the playing of the record to auto-repeat and tonearm return at the end of the record.
