Pioneer CT f7171. Cosmetically it is about as clean as they come. It it is gonna need some work to get it right. The belts and pinch roller were changed so the transport portion seems to work. The counter is broken. It is shown in the last pic. Supposedly there is some feedback when playing so would assume a recap in the future. I have played a few cassettes with no odd sounds but trust my tech that there is an issue. I just dont have the time get to a format I am just not on a use. Also there i a switch on the back that is not factory. Comes with original box and manuals. All shown in pics.

Pioneer CT-F7171 Cassette Tape Player Recorder Deck I am regretfully selling this beautiful deck as I am downsizing my hi-fi collection. Cosmetically, this deck is in outstanding condition. It is rare to find gear of this age in such good shape. The veneer on the case is in lovely order and the silver face plate is in great condition. The text and logos on the face plate are all engraved, giving the deck a classier appearance than later screen-printed types. The deck came to me second-hand. The previous owner kept the original product literature, instructions, schematic and purchase receipt, which are all included in the sale. On the rear of the instruction manual, the previous owner has recorded routine belt changes - demonstrating the care given to the deck over its lifetime. The care can also be seen when looking through the cooling grill (photo included) - you can see there is no dust inside the unit - remarkable for its age. Functionally, everything works as it should (play, record, pause, meters, inputs and outputs, counter, memory feature, spring-loaded door, lights) except for fast-forward and rewind features. With no cassette in place, the spindles turn, but once a cassette is loaded fast-forward struggles and rewind barely moves the tape. Therefore, the issue appears to be low torque. My first thought is that perhaps the unit needs new idler tyres. Sets of new idler tyres are available for purchase on Ebay. Ive included a demo video of the unit in action. Found during my Uncles house clearance but I did not find the corresponding machine. In excellent condition with no rips or tears. The only mark is where he has drawn an arrow next to the word Pioneer Original booklet not a photocopy.
