Philips DCC 951, third generation digital compact cassette deck This is a rare collectors item. According to the previous (original) owner, it was used only a few times back in the 1990s and has been stored safely and dry ever since. I recently acquired this item and used one of the 8 unused cassettes included to be able to test the unit. It appears to work fine. I could record and play back successfully. Analogue cassettes could be played as well. The original remote control and a manual in Danish are included. You can download the manual in other languages on the internet. There are some smaller signs of use which are cosmetic only. Cassettes included: 2 x 45 min (sealed and unused), 1 x 45 min (used once for testing), 3 x 75 min (sealed and unused), 2 x 90 min (sealed and unused). I will wrap carefully and ship insured within the EU.

For sale is my Philips DCC951 Cassette recorder. The item is in good condition. There are marks to the top however the front panel is in excellent condition. I have tested the player and it is working on playback (with analogue cassettes) as I dont have any DCCs with music on. I have tried recording on to a (very old) blank DCC however while it does go through the motions of recording it stops automatically after 10 secs and displays the message Clean Head All other buttons such as pause, rewind, recording level settings etc do work Thanks for looking!

Turns on , drawer opens, reads tape and plays and Records with no issues( sounds pretty good actually )Sometimes a tape will not pass the reading like the tape Is stuck - This could be a tape issue rather than the machine as its is capable of playing tapes I will leave you to decide if you want to purchase it - no returns, sorry(Someone suggested that it could possibly be rubber belt issues - but the same tapes always play and the same tapes always dont play if that makes sense - so it could be the tapes - cant test them on another machine ) again - please take this into consideration when bidding Cosmetically its pretty good ( considering its age ) Due to a recent bad experience with Royal Mail ( despite saying fragile several times ) a precious bit of Vintage Hi Fi got damaged ( Luckily repaired ) - so sorry, no Royal Mail - I dont need the hassle. Philips DCC951 Digital Compact Cassette, Best DCC deck. For parts or repair.. See pictures for the exact cosmetic condition of the dcc deck. Is missing the panel for the tray, does not affect functionality. It does function mechanically however it acts up most of the times. It plays but there is no sound or it doesnt want to rewind/fast forward or even play at all. Very rarely does it play and also produce audio but does sound great when it does. Most likely a capacitor issue. Sold as described above.

Philips DCC 951 Digital Cassette Player Deck + Remote. Does work. but not used for three years tested today and works and records but for some reason only on side B.. SIDE A only seems to fast forward or rewind. when first turned on screen said clean head but then disappeared. was working fine last time I used it three years ago never had any issues until turned on today.
