Philips ghetto blaster d-8304 retro yellow.. In a grubby stored condition . Not been used for many years and smells of cigarette smoke. I have tested the functionality of the item and can confirm it picks up radio and sounds ok . The tape players rotate and fwd and rew but I didn’t have a cassette to try it for sound. There is a crackly volume and equalizer control and at least one speaker sounds dry and maybe torn. there is no visible damage to the unit and it would restore beautifully. I originally owned this in the 80’s and the sound was fantastic. There are no batteries included and i cannot confirm whether it will work off battery power . so untested. The unit works fine using a 3 pin kettle type lead , which does not come in the sale. please study the pictures . Philips Retro Boombox. This ghettoblaster has been built in 1985. Stylish yellow color is the rarest one. There are few silver models in the market,but I found only one from the yellow apart from my one. Speakers are good and loud. Unfortunately the second cassette players door is broken, therefore the 2nd player doesnt plays the cassette. Even it is spining, and the counter is moving, the tape doesnt plays the cassette. Unfortunately I do not have the missing part. I am good at fixing but do not want to take the risk to make bigger harm on the player as it is right now. It can be a great project to a collector or mechanic person. It has its original Philips strap. I am advertising it for 350 , but at the same time I am open to offers. I am working in a busy and unpredictable environment, and even if I would like to post my sold items on the next day it can take sometimes up to 3 or 4 days.
