I unpacked this to test it, but found that the tray did not eject when its button was pushed, so I had to dig deeper...I removed the cover and discovered this unit has 4 belts. Their pulleys turned when they should, but all of them were slipping. As a result, the tray did not move in & out, the arm above the disc did not raise & lower completely, and the disc did not spin when the PLAY button was pushed.I found that all of these operations could be executed by hand, moving the parts that should be moved by the belts. Please SEE THE VIDEO showing what I mean by all this. (If video is not available at first, check again later. eBay has to approve videos before they allow them to be shown.) The video quality is not very good, but I believe you can see what you need to see.The 4 belts are available on eBay and probably elsewhere, but I dont have the time (and perhaps not the expertise) to order and install them.I did note that all the control buttons seemed to work, but when I tried listening through headphones while the disc was spinning & the display was counting the track time, I heard no sound, so that was the end of my testing.This unit comes in a Philips CD-960 box with a manual and a working remote with fresh batteries.
